Simplicity, the harmony between aesthetics and function as well as attention to detail characterize the work of Takumi masters. Using pure craftsmanship, they create masterpieces that are not only beautiful on the outside, but also have a deeper meaning. This is exactly what Japanese design and craftsmanship at Mazda stands for.
In order to visualize the attention to detail and the deeper meaning, Mazda worked together with Ole Bielfeldt - the artist behind "Macrofying" - who used macro shots to highlight the various production steps down to the smallest detail.
trias produced the matching shots in an elaborate filming process and combined them with the macro shots in post-production. The result was a main film based on the aesthetics of Takumi. The macro sequences were additionally transformed into short social media cuts on the topics of clay, metal, color and stitching.
